Safety & Security
Like many cities accross Canada, London is experiencing an increase in street involved activities.
What We’re Seeing
Unpredictable and disruptive behaviours, vandalism, and excessive garbage, disruption to business, tresspassing, sleeping rough and urban camps. These challenges are typically a result of addiction/substance abuse, and untreated mental illness.
Coordinated Informed Response Program
The CIR program is caring and compassionate response mechanism that aims to help and support homeless and street involved individuals. The CIR is there to assist private property owners and occupants who may be experiencing these unwanted behaviours in and around their businesses.
Dominion Security
The Hamilton Road BIA members have access to on-call services from Dominion Security for immediate minor concerns including loitering, trespassing, drug use on property and panhandling. Dominion Security guards also patrol the BIA weekly between the hours of 9pm and 6am for any suspicious activity.
